Dean Harrison and the Silicone Engineering Racing team are ready to come out fighting as they head into what is expected to be their toughest 10 days of the season.
This weekend, the Bennetts British Superbike Championship moves to the Snetterton 300 circuit for round seven of the series and five days later is set to hit Silverstone for round eight.
And although this is just one of four back-to-back race meetings this season, Bradford’s Harrison admits it could be one of his toughest – but says he is looking forward to the challenge.
“I’ve been to Snetterton a few times now and I don’t mind the place to be honest, but it is a tough one for me,” he said. “Snetterton and Silverstone tend to be the ones I struggle at and we have them just five days apart!
“It’s fair to say these two are going to be my hardest rounds of the season but actually, that just brings with it the challenge of getting better.
“I know I need to try and master both tracks and I am genuinely looking forward to getting back out, getting stuck in and learning more about them and improving further.
“I’m not going there resigning myself that it’s going to be hard, I’m going in actually fired-up and keen to learn. All I want is some consistent weather and the job should be a good one.”
Team Manager Jonny Bagnall is ready for a hectic 10 days. “These back to backs are hard and tiring but it’s the same for every team in the paddock so you have to just go with it,” he said.
“I think we’ve seen a lot of improvements in Dean’s riding already this season and for me it’s good to know he’s looking at these tracks where he knows he’s struggled previously as a positive challenge.
“He’s coming in with the right attitude, he wants to better himself and he’s showed this at every round already this year.
“I think we’re all looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at these two rounds, the whole team is going into them seeking improvement and hopefully we can come home with more good results.”
