PTR Triumph return to action at the Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto in Andalucia, Spain for the twelfth and final round of the 2024 FIM Supersport World Championship this weekend.
After a really difficult couple of races in Estoril last weekend while dealing with illness, Tom Booth-Amos is looking to make amends and finish the year in a positive way at the 4.4km Spanish track.
Tom Booth-Amos: “After a rough weekend last time out, we need to put it right and end the season where we should be. I’m feeling better so we’ll hopefully start strong.”
Teammate Ondrej Vostatek took a handful of Championship points in the last two races in Portugal and is aiming to sign off the year with finishes inside the top ten at the season finale this weekend.
Ondrej Vostatek: “We had a pretty good weekend last year in Jerez and we were close to finishing in the top ten. I want to continue in the same way now and score some important points in the last races.”
PTR Triumph Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “Back to back races again and all the hard work for the last part of the season. We are coming off a very disappointing round for Tom but hopefully he is feeling better this week and any injuries from the crashes are ok. So we want to turn things around for Tom and finish in a good way. After the bad start to the year he has really started to find his feet and be there to challenge for the podium. We are going to test with him at Jerez on Tuesday and Wednesday after the race with some new chassis parts so we are looking forward to that. Obviously it was a good round for Ondrej, he fought to be in the top ten and ended up finishing just outside the top ten so we are looking for a strong end to the season with him. Big thanks to everyone in the team for their tremendous efforts and commitment. Let’s look forward to a good last round.”
