Lovell Kent Racing unveil their 2023 livery ahead of the BSB season

The Lovell Kent Racing Honda team have become the latest contenders in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to unveil their look for the 2023 season, which gets underway with the opening round at Silverstone this Easter (April 7/8/9).

The team make their debut in the Championship this season, lining up with 2015 Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent in Bennetts BSB with the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, and younger brother Kieran in the Pirelli Junior Superstock series.

The team will make their on track debut next month for the opening official Bennetts BSB pre-season test at Navarra in Spain, with their first season in partnership with D&P Lovell, a family-run business that specialise in the construction machinery sector.

Danny Kent said: “I am excited and motivated to get out to Spain and ride the Honda for the very first time. Normally I’d say it’s been a long winter break, but with me being involved in the team, I know how much hard work and money has been put in. Starting a new team from scratch, I think everyone involved has done an amazing job.

“We have testing in Spain coming up, which is important for me and the crew to understand the Honda so that when we come to round one at Silverstone we are ready.”

Kieran Kent meanwhile has already completed an initial shakedown in Spain ahead of his Pirelli Junior Superstock debut. He said: “I am super happy to be involved in this new team and it’s been a lot of hard work getting everything in place. Seeing everything finalised shows the team’s efforts over the winter months.

“I am looking forward to representing the team and all my sponsors during the 2023 season. Hats off to everyone involved, I am now concentrating on getting over to Spain and spinning some laps onboard the Yamaha R6. I am grateful for this opportunity and looking forward my debut season in Junior Superstock.”

Team Owner Allen Lovell concluded: “After all the hard work over the winter period it’s great to see everything taking shape. The whole team is looking forward to the season ahead and I am personally looking forward to seeing the bikes in our company’s colours competing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.”
