Since their inception in 2018, OMG Racing have become known for their eye-catching & unique liveries. From the original dayglo orange, yellow & blue bikes of 2018 & 2019, to the classy but imposing gold, carbon & blue of last year’s title winning Yamaha of Brad Ray, OMG’s bikes have become a firm fan favourite.
For 2023, with brand new title-sponsor LAMI Vapes joining the reigning champions, OMG turned to long-standing partner & former BSB champion Tommy Hill, who has been responsible for creating the team’s look since 2021.
The brief was simple – ‘keep it clean, classy & recognisable as an OMG Racing bike.’ What Tommy came up with definitely fits the bill, and draws clear inspiration from the legendary bikes of the ‘70s & ‘80s, with the likes of LAMI OMG Racing team-member Roger Marshall providing an undeniable benchmark.
The gold draws clearly on the team’s history & brand identity, whilst the grey & white provide a sublime contrast to the lacquered carbon fibre of the Yamaha R1’s bodywork. Both James Hillier (Pirelli National Superstock – Yamaha R1) & Aaron Daykin (Pirelli Junior National Superstock – Yamaha R6) will run the same livery in their Bennetts British Superbike Championship campaigns this season, albeit against gloss black fairings rather than the carbon fibre of the superbikes.
Fans can see the new LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha R1s this Tuesday & Wednesday at the official BSB test at Silverstone, ahead of the first-round next weekend.
