This weekend (21-22-23 July) the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad team returns to Bennetts British Superbike Championship action, as round six takes place at Brands Hatch.

Last time out at Snetterton, Faye Ho’s squad returned to the BSB podium with Josh Brookes adding a pair of second place finishes to his 2023 tally, and this weekend the team are looking to collect further silverware aboard the BMW M 1000 RR.

After being forced to retire from the final race at Snetterton with a technical issue whilst in the lead, Josh is keen to make amends this weekend. With 19 wins at the Grand Prix circuit, the double BSB champion is eager to return to his favourite track this weekend.

For teammate Peter Hickman, it’s been a tough BSB season so far, with luck not on his side. Putting the last few rounds behind him, Hicky arrives at Brands Hatch with good memories after winning at the Kent track at the end of last year, where he was also on the podium in second and placed fifth.

The weekend also sees the FHO Girls – Denise dal Zotto, Holly Harris and Jamie Hanks-Elliott in action in the HEL Performance British Junior Supersport Championship, as well as Kate Walker in the ABK Beer 0% BMW F 900 R Cup, alongside Richard Cooper.

Track action gets underway on Friday (21 July) with Superbike first free practice. Saturday (22 July) sees the return of Superpole qualifying and the first race of the weekend, with Race 2 and 3 taking place on Sunday (23 July).

Josh Brookes:
“Obviously I was disappointed to not finish the final race at Snetterton with what turned out to be a sensor failure. Moving into this weekend, obviously I’ve got a great record at Brands Hatch, it’s one of my favourite circuits. I’m looking forward to getting there, particularly because we had good speed at Snetterton. We’d made some obvious improvements throughout the weekend, the previous two rounds, we struggled a little bit to get the bike working properly, how I needed it to, but at Snetterton, it feels like we’ve maybe made some steps that were necessary to be more competitive again. If that all continues at Brands Hatch and with my like for the circuit, I’m really excited about what the results could be. Let’s get there as quick as possible and see what happens!”

Peter Hickman:
“Brands should be a good weekend; the last time we were there I had a second and fifth place as well as a win. But to be honest with where we’ve been the last couple of rounds inside the top-10 would be nice! Brands Hatch is a circuit that tends to suit me a little more with its fast and flowing nature and there’s less stop-starts. The weekend will be a full reset for us for we’ll try and forget about Snetterton and what we didn’t do – write it off as a bad weekend and move on. The BMW generally works well at the GP track, I’m not sure what the weather is going to do as I never look at the forecast, but it should be a good weekend and I can’t wait to get back to it and have a proper go as the last round was a complete write off!”

Faye Ho – Team Principal:
“We’re arriving at Brands Hatch in high spirits following what was a successful last outing at Snetterton. The issue Josh had in the final race was disappointing, but he showed fantastic pace and returned to the podium, twice. His track record at Brands with 19 victories is impressive and I think if it all comes together, we could be in for a good weekend! For Pete, he just needs a good run this weekend. He’s had a really tough few rounds where things just haven’t come together for various reasons. Last year he had fantastic results at Brands winning as well as coming second and fifth, so he has that motivation arriving at this weekend.”
