Jason O’Halloran is ready to take on Thruxton and add to his impressive tally

Jason O’Halloran heads into the next round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Thruxton fired up to add to his impressive record at the thrilling Hampshire circuit next weekend (August 9/10/11).

O’Halloran has won eight of the last nine races at Thruxton with Yamaha and now is targeting a repeat performance with Team Green following his move this season to the Completely Motorbikes Kawasaki team.

The O’Show was victorious earlier in the season at Donington Park and arrives at Thruxton holding seventh in the standings with an 18-point deficit to Ryan Vickers ahead of him.

O’Halloran said: “I am obviously looking forward to going to Thruxton as it has been a really good track for us in the past and actually always a good track for me and one that I enjoy. Certainly, the last three years we have been there, we have been really strong and won eight of the last nine races there and the one that I didn’t, I was third.

“Obviously it will be my first time there on the Kawasaki so I am looking forward to the weekend, getting there and testing it there and seeing how we get on. The team had a good little run out at Snetterton the other day and got a few sessions under our belt to test a few things with AJ Steelstock and it was really beneficial. By the end of the day, we made some progress in the areas that we have been looking to make progress in and I was really happy with that.

“Three races and tyres always play a part. Last year was three completely different races for me last year; I won the first race from the front and then race two I came from about tenth place after the first few laps, so many different ways to win at Thruxton! Obviously, it is better to win from the front but it is one of those races that you have to play as it comes to you and as long as you have done your homework on Friday and Saturday and you know where you’re at then it is up to you to do your thing in the race. I can’t wait to see what we can do on the Kawasaki and hopefully keeping that winning tally alive!”
