With action being halted since the start of March, it is no surprise that teams throughout the WorldSBK Paddock would be racing to get some testing done ahead of the 2nd round at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team were no exception to this, with their first testing being held at Lausitzring in Germany.
Maybe you would expect a bit of a slower start for the team given the long stoppage, but that wasn’t the case for both Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty. With new parts fitted that were developed during the break in action, both riders seem to be confident that the team had taken a step forward in performance and hopeful of a competitive bike for the remainder of the season.
The next test for the team takes place in Spain at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit on the 8th and 9th of July. After that, all attention is shifted to August 1st/2nd for round 2 of the season. Wishing BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team all the best!
