FS-3 Racing – Round six at Thruxton – Heat and tyres are the words of the weekend

The level of competition is hotting up as the Showdown cut off is getting nearer and the Yamahas continue to dominate. With Lee P3 and Rory P4 in the championship standings, our main aim was to keep racking up the points and hopefully a few podium credits.

Dean Harrison and DAO Racing make big strides forward at Thruxton

Affinity Sports Academy Kawasaki riders at Thruxton

The Completely Motorbikes Affinity Sports Academy Kawasaki riders were out in full force this weekend, in extreme weather conditions at the super-fast Thruxton Circuit. The riders were competing in the British Supersport Championship, National Junior Superstock Championship and the Junior Supersport series.

McAMS Yamaha do the treble at Thruxton

It would appear no one can stop McAMS Yamaha at the moment in BSB with 8 straight wins now! Jason O'Halloran has been confirmed for the showdown and Tarran Mackenzie is on his way to secure his place. Tim Neave was back from injury and got some time racing on his bike ready for his home round at Cadwell.

Honda Racing complete Thruxton BSB with a 4th place for Glenn Irwin and a haul of points

It's been a blistering hot weekend at Thruxton for the sixth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, where the Honda Racing UK team wrapped up the weekend in the points and Glenn Irwin moved up the series standings where, with the Showdown looming he's now sitting fifth.

Honda Racing UK set for thrilling Thruxton

The ultra-fast and flowing Hampshire circuit is known to suit the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and having already scored three wins and a third place this season, Glenn Irwin, who is currently sixth in the series standings, will be aiming to be at the sharp end across the weekend.

Lee Jackson arrives at Thruxton this weekend (12/13/14 August) third in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship standings and determined to be back in the hunt for the podium for the Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Racing Kawasaki team.

DesmoSport Ducati see red at Morgan Park

McAMS Yamaha seek to continue winning ways at Thruxton

“Thruxton was a really special weekend for us last year, winning all three races so I’m looking forward to getting back there after a strong weekend at Brands Hatch. It’s a very different kind of track that throws up unique challenges each year, and it looks like the temperature is going to be very high this weekend so that will be interesting." Rory Skinner’s dream becomes reality on his Moto2 debut

In the race Rory was able to run a consistent pace, settling into a rhythm and running his fastest laps towards the end of the race, as he led a four rider battle for 20th, only slipping back to 21st at the very end of the 18 lap race after being passed by Moto2 veteran Simone Corsi, a five time Grand Prix winner.
