The first round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) for 2022 is in the record books with Bryan Staring taking 1-2 race results, after qualifying 5th, to secure the overall round win on his first race weekend on the DesmoSport Ducati Panigale V4 R superbike.

Today we are excited to launch 727 Moto Racing. The team owned by Travis Schmitz was previously in operation under the Metcher Motorsport banner fielding a bike for Jed Metcher since 2018. Schmitz has taken the bold step like no other to invest in the team and the championship. The team rebranded as 727 Moto Racing fields two riders aboard Yamaha R1 machines with support from YRD.

The ‘Pocket Rocket’ was well established as a title contender in the British Championship before he finally secured the title in 2018, winning 15 races with a further six podiums to seize the crown in emphatic style for ‘Team Green’.

The team will field a two-rider effort led by the reigning MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Jake Gagne and new addition Cameron Petersen.
