Eazi-Grip supported Chaz Davies leaves World Superbike testing at Aragon happy with the progress made

The last of two days of testing at MotorLand Aragon concluded on Tuesday afternoon as nine riders from the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship took to the track to refine their machines ahead of the 2021 season kicking off at the same venue in just over a month. It was Scott Redding (Aruba.It Racing – Ducati) who topped Tuesday’s times after a flurry of late laps in the afternoon session.

A cold and windy Motorland Aragon, on the first day, hosted the protagonists of the Superbike circus. For the event, the complete Ducati and Yamaha line-ups are present, and will be back on track again today.

Ten Kate Racing Yamaha returns home with a good feeling after two weeks of testing in Spain. Last two days the team had a test with Dominique Aegerter and Galang Hendra Pratama at Motorland Aragon. Aegerter showed his impressive pace again, while Hendra Pratama step by step finding his rhythm on the Yamaha R6.

With new bikes and new upgrades on display, one metric to analyse the performance of the bikes is to look at their recorded top speed.
The two-day Supported Test for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship was a chance for all five manufacturers to show off new tech innovations to improve the performances of their bikes ahead of the 2020 season. With BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha all present, it also gives us the first chance to make a comparison between the five manufacturers.

Chaz, during the morning of the second day, immediately managed to improve his feeling with the bike, having excellent feedback especially on the front. Almost four tenths of pace better than on day one, it shows improvement. Davies, despite the long break, was really in shape and strong, returning ready and determined, as he had left 2020.
